·         THE 506TH INFANTRY REGIMENT ASSOCIATION REUNION

·         THE 3rd Battalion, 506th Airborne Infantry Gathering

Wingate Inn

Clarksville, Tennessee

6-11 June 2000

To all members, support units members, and family members of the 3rd Battalion, 506th Airborne Infantry, past and present.  Please join us at our hospitality room at the Wingate Inn, 251, Holiday Drive, Clarksville, Tennessee for

Len Leibler (3rd Plt., Alpha Co. 67/68) is in charge of this years 3-506th scheduling of festivities.  As we approach the reunion date, Len will be preparing a schedule and posting all the periphery activities. Presently there are the dinners as

follows: Wed- 3/506 at Ryans, the 506 Assoc.. on Thursday, the 101st on

Friday, and Sat is open ( we can order out, grill, or something).

For the 3/506 dinner: I will send a note to everyone, asking for anyone

who wants to say something to let me know. I'll put an agenda together with

the response. After the dinner, we'll go back to the Wingate. This may be a

good time for the new pics.

Thursday: I would like to put something together for the ladies, and

something separate for the men. I have asked Tom Gentry to give me some

suggestions. My thought is not to set up to much, but have a couple of

thing's to do so people will have some options. I am also concerned about

setting anything up, at this time, and then find out that it will conflict

with something going on the post. So, I am trying to get hold of the

schedule of events. After the 506 Assoc. dinner it is wide open. We can

again gravitate back to the Wingate, and do some more JERRY BEERY TIME.

Friday: By this time we should be getting heavy into the post's events. I

suspect that most of the folks will get together in groups, and attend these

events.

So, as you can see, I have a general idea, but not allot of specifics.

However, know that I am counting on some quality   " JERRY BERRY TIME".

Will you and Donna have your shirts and hats for sale?

I will also like to send out a note to everyone about bringing any and all

of their war memorabilia to share with the others. Maybe that is something

you might be interested in organizing. We could set a specific time to

display these things, or keep them out, depending on the room.

Anyway, thanks for the asking to help. I will need some. I'll be on day

shift in a couple of weeks, and give you a call. We'll pick up the pace each

month. I see the event to be a little less structured then Hampton, but

every bit as much fun. There should be plenty of options for everyone.

Talk to you soon-  Airborne all the way-     Len
